How to use old wireless router as an antenna for my laptop built in wireless card?

I have free wifi around where i live, but the signal is weak at my computer. I am wondering if i can use my old wireless router as a booster/antenna?

make a leads from your spare antenna, next, find you internal wireless card, find your receiver on that card (schematics help with this), solder leads from that out of your case (which you have to make yourself) then connect the two and figure out a mounting solution. 100 $ doesnt look so bad now does it?
