HP laptop overheating – due to lithium battery?
I have an HP G60-120us Notebook computer. It is fairly new, I got it last Christmas. It is a great laptop- except that it gets very hot, very easily.
I know the basics, such as you shouldn’t put your laptop on a blanket so that it can ventilate, but my laptop will get extremely hot while sitting on a desk! It doesn’t say that it overheats, but I notice the performance slowing down. Besides, I know that it shouldn’t be this hot because it burns my finger when I feel the ventilation point!
Is this normal? Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything I can do about it?

All lap tops get hot to very hot to the touch, some more than others. When gaming or working with many programs they can get real hot.
Buy and use a cooling pad with built in fans and connect to a USB port to help with heat. I never use one of my lap tops with out a cooling pad. I use the Targus and Gear Head brands but there are many on the market and are not expensive, you can find them on sale at computer store such as Fry’s Electronics at times or check the sale adds in news paper.
