Laptop Overheats And Shuts Off

my laptop overheats and shuts off?

I have a Toshiba Satellite, it is not very old ( about 2 years) it heats on within 30 minutes of being turned on, and if I do not keep it close to the A/C it will turn off by itself. this is very annoying specially because I have to do homework more of the time.
it would be safe/cheap to take my laptop for a cleaning or what would be my options to fix this problem.
I can’t buy a new one

Two things to check:

If you can, watch the fan when you first push the startup button. It should spin at least a little. If it doesn’t, you have a burned out fan that needs to be replaced. If it does spin, the internals may still be clogged with dust and lint. A quick pass with a vacuum cleaner may help.

If you’re accessing the Internet over a wireless connection, try going to a wired connection and turning off your wireless in the laptop. Wireless circuitry tends to run hot even when it’s working normally. Using a wired connection can cool things significantly.
