Laptop Computers Acer Store
Keyboard and touchpad are not working on my acer aspire laptop, which has windows vista?
My Acer Aspire 5410 keyboard and mouse-pad are not working, i restarted my computer and when it came back on my keyboard and my touch-pad are non responsive. I have windows Vista on my computer. I am not sure whether it is my laptop or Windows that is the problem. I have tried taking the batter out and putting it back in but this does not change anything. Is there anything else i can do to fix this problem without taking it back to the store where i got it from?

P.S I have plugged in a mouse and separate keyboard and they are working fine.
I have tried to use system restore but it doesn not work for some reason. When it all loads up again it says that the restore was unsuccessful. Also i have noticed that threre is no battery icon at the bottom of my screen like there normally is.
I have tried starting it in safemode and this also makes no difference 
try accessing it in safe mode
does it work?
try uninstalling the keyboard and mouse drivers they might have gotten corrupt
it’s possible another issue has arisen try system restore or a recovery (last resort)
if all of theses fail then send it in for service
but more then likely one of these will fix the issue
