Laptop Computer Lcd Screen Repair

Computer repair question?

I’m going to have to send a laptop into HP to get the LCD screen replaced, I found out that I have ADP (Accidental Damage Protection) and I’m just wondering what’s the possibility that they will have to reformat or replace my hard drive?

For the first question, there’s no chance of them having to replace/format the hard drive, as they are only replacing the monitor itself. For the second, a free way would be to get either 7zip (recommended by me) or WinRar. First, take all the files you want to save, and put them in a single folder. For 7zip, right-click, Add to archive ‘foldername.7z’, not .zip. For Winrar, it’s the same except Add to archive ‘foldername.rar’ instead of .7z. Then upload it to any of the following sites: mediafire.com, megaupload.com, rapidshare.com, filebeam.com, or hotfile.com, whichever you prefer. Note that for most of those, if not all, the file limit is 200MB, so make sure it’s under that. If it isn’t, then compress multiple folders, each containing some files.
