Computer Games 2011 Download

3ds max 2011 wont work because of .net framework please help me out?

I downloaded 3d studio max from the online student community once it finished installing i tried to open it but it game up with an error and said that .net frame needs to be upgraded so i googled it and installed the 4.0 version which to my knowledge is the latest version. But when i tried to open 3ds max after wards it still came up with the same error. I’ve tried everything, restarted the computer, opened it as administrator, opened change graphics mode but the same thing always happens. does anyone know whats up with it??

If the program was written to use, say, 3.5 framework, it won’t run on 4.0. (Yeah, that’s nuts, but remember who writes the framework.) Frameworks aren’t downward compatible, which is why you need all of them installed.
