Best Laptop Gps Receiver

GPS module help?

All I need is a GPS module to connect to my laptop which I will install in my car. I just need to know what are some of the best modules with traffic info. I don’t need a GPS package with a display and interface on the receiver (I will not be using it, I will be using the laptop). If possible please point me to the websites with the info.

Maybe consider Microsoft Streets & Trips it has a GPS module that plugs into your USB port, this module will also plug into pocket pc’s with the compact flash adaptor, the software for the PPC is included with the package

The maps will give real time display as you are moving, sometimes you can get it for $99, or even last years cheaper (streets dont change too much)

The GPS module is actually a Pharos 360 with a MS logo on it so just google images for Pharos 360 or hit the link below.

I have one and used it on my PPC as well as the laptop and it does work well, you’ll just have to check for features you need, check the Pharos site too, they may have software with different features than the MS package
