Should I get a Dell or acer laptop?

I want to know what is the best laptop for Internet speed, playing games like roller coaster tycoon, Microsoft word and going on the Internet with and one that can play DVD. i want a laptop under $500 and I might buy a Dell inspiron 15 laptop. I also want a webcam. I want to know if I should get a Dell or look into getting a acer or possibly an Hp. I do not want to get a gaming laptop, just probably a everyday laptop.

I have the dell mini it is really good.
It has lots of cool features and it is under $300.00 and has a camera for picture taking and video recording.
It can not play dvd unfortunately….
but you can surf the internet
